As part of its educational and therapeutic services, the Center for Developmental Disabilities (CDD) of Pike County maintains a pediatric clinic that addresses a wide range of issues among children who have developmental delays. This clinic works with infants, toddlers, and school-age children in the tri-state area and strives to enrich the lives of those in its care.
Through the pediatric clinic, parents have the opportunity to have their children work with licensed physical, speech, and occupational therapists. These professionals possess expertise in handling developmental disabilities and are capable of assisting with everything from handwriting and feeding to motor and self-care skills. The staff at the CDD pediatric clinic also work with parents to promote improved functioning among their children in all types of settings.
Currently, children can be a part of group and individual therapy sessions at the CDD clinic. Appointments are available in the early morning and evening and the clinic accepts most health insurance. Further, children and families can participate in educational and enrichment workshops to promote positive family experiences.
